Since the ending was so clear I couldn’t help, but feel that all of the time she spent with the one ( *SPOILER* Russell *END OF SPOILER*) that would end up friend zoned was a waste of time. I really loved the whole soul mate idea but didn’t enjoy the way it was executed. You knew who she was going to choose from the beginning so there wasn’t any trepidation. This is a romance book about a love triangle.

After she finally had connected all of the characters and set up the true plot, she was able to get on to her good idea. Since she needed inspiration, she turned to the classic “heroine meets mysterious hero at school, but the hero pushes the girl away until he decides to become super overprotective” trope. Bartol had no idea how to set up the series, but she had a really good idea. I also remember is falling in love with the series after Inescapable though. I can’t remember any specifics, but I know I hated the first book. I vaguely remember reading this series in 2014. A Twilight rip-off and an interesting and original paranormal romance. In my opinion, this is a mix of two different books. There were parts I loved, parts I liked, parts I disliked, and parts I despised. Story in a Sentence: When Evie Claremont starts college, she meets a nice guy named Russell and a mysterious guy named Reed but learns there is more to everybody around her than she first thought, including herself. “The Premonition Series” is one of my choices for December’s theme “ Angels versus Demons”. Bartol is book one in “The Premonition Series”. “ That is what courage is: it is acting in the face of fear.”
